----Tips on Starting----

Here you can find tips on starting your hobby. These aren't exact rules and you don't need to follow them. They're just here to try and help! At the bottom of the page there is a section where you can put in your questions. These are under a code name so don't feel dumb about asking them! We're here to help!

“Everytime I take a picture it comes out blurry. I tried to keep my hands still but it's still not clear. What I can I do help this?”
–User156

Use both hands when holding a camera. One should be on the lens and the other should be on the main part of the camera. You should also hold it close to you so your arms don't get tired. If that still doesn't work you can try increasing your shutter speed or investing in a tripod.

“My pictures look boring. What can I do to make them look better?”
–Banana34

You can start by using the rule of thirds. A lot of cameras has this function programmed into them. Basically, it splits your camera into a three by three grid. You then put your subject into one of the points where the lines intersect. It makes the image more interesting. You can also try using filters to make it look different and out of the ordinary. Try different angles, too!

“I like to take pictures of people, but when I do they look boring. I tried using different people but they just don't look right. What should I change”
–DantheMan

Practice makes perfect! Try focusing on the eyes. Maybe use soem props or have your subject convey different emotions. Maybe you should try taking some candid shots instead of posed ones.

“I want to start getting into photography but I don't know what to take pictures of. Where should I start?”
–PictureHunter

I can't really tell you where to start exactly. Photography is a artform, a way to express yourself. Start taking pictures of what you like. Maybe you like hiking or shopping. Maybe you like fishing or arts and crafts. Take pictures of what interests you. Have fun with it.
